08-08-09 I just snagged a 1977-1980 Glastron-Carlson CVX-18 with a 898 Engine & Drive (90% complete-no exh manifolds) No interior, lots of Pine Needles, Full Orig dash & orig throttle & wheel.
I am guessing the engine 305 V8 has about 190hp ?
I had a customer give me an engine in exchange for the $$ he owed me, I’d like to rebuild it and sell but with what it needs it's not really worth it, so now I have a 350 V8 260hp, the owner says he "has everything", everything to him is not everything to me. I got the rest of the parts and could be on my way to owning a “speed boat”
The only real problem I face is the condition of the stringers I guess, the trans is Ok, the gimbal ring is loose at the top, which stinks but, I'll check the lower oil to see what comes out and pop the top off, the drive has trim/tilt on the side
It came with a very good not new roller trailer single Axle(needs tires & rims very rusty but holds air and trailers nice) The floor within 2’ of the engine compartment, is junk, but gets stronger about mid-way towards the front.
